No, I'm not 60 seconds away from releasing CMAssistant Live (alias version 9). I wish! I just thought a play on the "gone in 60 seconds" phrase might be a good tease. What I'm thinking of is the time it takes to create a new issue.
This has always been a test of patience for users. In every previous version of CMAssistant this process was measured in minutes — around five was pretty common. And that was almost always on a local computer. Over the network it was even slower.
Well, that's changed. With CMAssistant on our server (in Atlanta) and me here in Dallas, I just ran the process of creating a new issue and it completed in just over 60 seconds (70 seconds to be exact). That's how long it took to

We're very close to the release of CMAssistant Live but a few interface elements may yet change, so I'm posting this in "news" rather than in support. After release I'll be making videos like this to demonstrate how to use many other aspects of CMAssistant Live.
Editing deliveries in a route
The videos that follow explain how you'll edit deliveries in the Routes by Date area of CMAssistant Live. By "edit deliveries," I mean, how you'll do things like change the delivery amount, add a restock delivery, delete a delivery, and pause a delivery. The third short video here shows how to move from one route to another.
Users of earlier versions of CMAssistant will find a couple concepts here slightly novel. The main novelty here is that you'll be editing deliveries for a single route on a single run date, while looking at each selected setup's recent history. ("Setup" = "drop" in the old parlance.)
In the last couple releases of CMAssistant, you've jumped from a deliveries list for, say, a route, to a deliveries list for a single setup; then back. The main novelty in CMAssistant Live (v9) is that you don't have to jump: Everything is there on a single screen. You start with a listing of routes for a given run date (March 2, in the videos). Click on a route to view its deliveries. Then you click on a delivery to view both current and recent deliveries for the related setup. It's a bit like going from list view to 'conversation' view in an email app like Gmail.

Finally, when you are done editing one route's deliveries, you'll just click the "next record" button to view the next route and its deliveries, and start over again. You can work your way through all the deliveries pretty quickly in this fashion, once you get your bearings in the app. (1:30)
