We're now Rucksack "Technology", not "TeXnology".
What can I say? I got tired of explaining the "X".
Okay, that's a bit blasphemous, but on December 14, 2017, William Porter and five other prominent North Texas FileMaker developers traveled to Santa Clara, California, to visit The Wedge, FileMaker Inc's corporate headquarters in the heart of Silicon Valley. We met there with a bunch of FileMaker VIPs including overall project manager Rick Kalman and some of the top programmers responsible for the future of our favorite platform. We felt that our talks were very productive and we found Rick and his team to be very receptive and helpful. We also talked with the planners of next year's FileMaker DevCon in Dallas-Fort Worth. We wanted to offer whatever help we can to attendees, given our knowledge of the D/FW community and its resources. Tomorrow we have more meetings and hope to sneak in a quick stop at Apple's new campus before heading back to Dallas.
You should be using a password manager. My own digital life revolves around 1Password.
1Password has long been the best password manager for macOS but it's been making ground on Windows as well. In the last week or so, the folks at Agilebits who make 1Password released an update that allows 1Password to work with Microsoft Edge in Windows 10. Major good news.
William Porter is Rucksack's owner and principal. He's been writing on a range of tech subjects for three decades. Yikes!
